SENIOR GEOLOGIST
Mr. Mike Kilbourne has over 35 years' experience in the mining industry exploring for precious and base metals within Canadian greenstone belts. Mike also has significant experience in mining with underground narrow vein, underground bulk and open pit production in gold, open pit production and short/long term mine planning in the aggregate industry. Prior to joining Exiro, Mike worked for BP Minerals, BP Selco, Minroc Management, Royal Oak Mines, Mine Development Associates, Lehigh Cement, and Billiken Management. He also held the positions of President for White Pine Resources, VP of Exploration for Goldstone Resources, and Senior Geologist for Superior Copper. Mike was part of the team on the discovery hole of the Eagle’s Nest Ni-Cu-PGE Deposit in 2007 in the ‘Ring of Fire’ for Noront Resources.
Mike is known for his experience in exploration for base and precious metals as well as a good understanding of other commodities such as battery metals amongst the other critical elements. His experience has given him a solid understanding of ore controls and deposit styles, which is critical to targeting and finding opportunities in the historical data.
Mike earned a B.Sc. (Hons) from the University of Western Ontario in London, Ontario and is registered as a Professional Geoscientist in the province of Ontario.
