JUNIOR ACCOUNTANT & FINANCIAL ANALYST
Ms. Priya Sharma is the Junior Accountant & Financial Analyst of Exiro Minerals Corp. and a shareholder. Priya started her professional career in the mining industry three years ago and has grown to building her experience in full-cycle accounting. Prior to Exiro, she has worked with a privately owned service provider, Orix Geoscience Inc. with the Accounts Payable and Bookkeeping department where she led day-to-day finance operations such as credit card management, expense reporting, payroll, and helped create efficiencies throughout the department. She also assisted in creating and developing a first-time budget to help improve profitability, manage costs, and strategically identify long-term goals and growth opportunities. With this hands-on experience, Priya has developed a passion for working with small businesses that are like family which allows her the opportunity to help in all areas of the company than just with accounting.
Priya currently leads the Accounting and Finance department at Exiro Minerals Corp. and is responsible for financial statement preparation, budgeting, cash-flow forecasting, and management reporting. She oversees the full-cycle accounting including accounts payable, banking, payroll, and general spending and assists in preparing for key exciting business activities with senior management. She is enthusiastic about taking on new challenges and new learning opportunities.
Priya received a BBA in Accounting from the University of Guelph-Humber and is now progressing towards completing her CPA designation.
